Before minimalism, I thought of hobbies as activities that I would try and develop into a form of income in the long run. Once I had developed the skills needed. I now look at hobbies as a way of having fun and enjoyment in my free time without wanting them to develop into some more.
“an activity that someone does in ther leisure time for pleasure”
This is what the Oxford dictionary says a hobby should be. However, we see them as something more sometimes. It may be simple but asking yourself “is this hobby giving me enjoyment?” or “am I doing this for money or joy?”
If no, maybe it is worth trying to find that enjoyment again, not seeing the (£££) pound signs at the end.
If yes, then keep it going and enjoy yourself it is a time for you to enjoy life and grow as a person.
